An advanced in-house laboratory allows us to provide immediate results to help diagnose disease and acute symptoms during an emergency, without giving your pet stress or discomfort. Our laboratory also allows us to perform a variety of routine and pre-surgical diagnostic procedures for your pet, such as blood counts, serum chemistries, and parasite identification. In addition, we utilize the full-service Antech Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory. Our samples are picked up every night so that we have results the following day.
Radiology or X-rays, helps our veterinarians evaluate muscular-skeletal, cardiovascular (cardiopulmonary), gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems. We use state-of-the-art, in-house digital x-ray equipment, producing results are ready for immediate analysis by our veterinarians.
Dr. Erik Peterson, D.V.M., A.C.V.I.M., of Intermed, is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, and is our ultrasound and internal medicine consultant. Ultrasound is a non-invasive technology that uses sound waves to painlessly examine specific internal organs, primarily the heart and abdominal organs. It allows doctors to diagnose internal disease conditions, such as cysts and abscesses, that are undetectable by radiography.
