Regular professional cleaning is important to maintain healthy teeth for your pet and to prevent dental disease including, loss of teeth, bad breath, abscesses, difficulty in chewing, oral pain and cavities. All are treatable conditions related to your pet’s oral health. In pets as well as humans, oral disease has been shown to be an important contributing factor to medical problems elsewhere in the body, including heart, kidney and liver disease.
We use modern and safe state-of-the-art equipment and instruments for dental work. Teeth cleanings are performed by a dental technician and are offered with or without general anesthesia. Teeth are polished to create a smooth, tooth surface that is more resistant to plaque buildup and fluoride treatments, helping to strengthen enamel, and reduce tooth sensitivity. Oral surgery is performed by Dr. John Ouellette including, but not limited to, tooth extraction, oral tumors and abscesses.
